The Water and Wastewater Department are making repairs as a result of a hydrant lead leak on Highway 33, Loyalist Parkway, between County Road 3 and Taft Road in Carrying Place Wednesday.
Repairs are expected to be completed around 6 p.m.
Lane closures are in place on Highway 33, Loyalist Parkway, in the west-bound lane between County Road 3 (Rednersville Road) and Taft Road in the construction area. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are asked to follow all posted signage and signal-people directions.
Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Highway 33, Loyalist Parkway may experience an interruption to service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink when water service is restored following repairs.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
