Team Name – Hockey – Irish Green. Baseball – Belleville Storm
Why are you nominating this athlete?
Gryson is 9 years old and played in the U 11 league in both sports. Although the team ended up winning the Bronze Medal this past season in hockey was not a good year for the team but they played hard. Gryson always had a pat on back and words of encouragement for his teammates.
Gryson was awarded the Esso Achievement Award for Team Spirit. In baseball he was the same way always showing encouragement to his teammates. Gryson, kept a girl on his team from quitting, as she was the only female on the team and felt she wasn’t that good. She stayed with the team and with the encouragement Gryson gave her became a good ball player. The baseball team went on to win the playoff tournament and both Gryson and the female player led the way.
Gryson is an extremely caring, understanding young man with a heart of gold.
