Shoeless Joe’s Belleville closing immediately

By Brock Ormond Apr 15, 2026 | 8:33 PM

A frequented Belleville restaurant is departing the Belleville community.

A post on Shoeless Joe’s Belleville’s Facebook page on Wednesday announced it is shutting it doors effective immediately, thanking all patrons for the years of incredible support, and the relationships built over the years.

“This is not the ending we envisioned, but we’re deeply grateful for the journey we shared with all of you,” the post read.

A notice was posted on the sports bar and grill business at 13 Bell Boulevard from ‘First Bell Corporation,’ the company that owns the property, stating the business owes in excess of $133,700 in rent arrears.

The notice also mentioned that staff will have five days from the date of the closure to remove assets from the property or be subject to storage costs.

Multiple posts on social media expressed disappointment about the closure, praising the establishment for providing community fellowship, Christmas meals to people in need, karaoke and great memories.

The Shoeless Joe’s establishment in Trenton is not expected to be affected.
