Kingston Police seek public help identifying suspect in assault case

Kingston Police are seeking the publics assistance identifying a suspect involved in an assault incident.

On March 16, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the victim and the suspect had an interaction in the northwest parking lot of the Rio Can Center on Gardiners Road. Both the suspect and the victim proceeded to enter a business located within the Rio Can Center.

Once inside the suspect made forceful contact with the victim which caused the victim to be knocked into a solid metal structure within the store.

The suspect was last seen leaving the parking lot in a grey/silver Honda SUV.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged black male with a mustache. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a dark shirt, khaki pants and a khaki-colored ‘flat-cap’
