Hold and secure in effect on Monday at Cobourg School

Members of the Cobourg Police Service are currently on scene (Monday morning) at St. Mary Catholic
Secondary School in Cobourg, conducting an active investigation following a report of threats.
At about 10:00 a.m., police responded to the school after receiving a report of threats. The school was placed on hold
and secured as police conducted the investigation. Police have determined there are no immediate threats to the
school at this time. As part of the investigation, a search of the building was conducted and nothing suspicious was
located. No physical injuries have been reported.
The investigation is ongoing, and the school will remain on hold and secure until further notice. Members of the public
are asked to avoid the area.
