Quinte Legion Lynx track and field club will be adding three additional members at both the NCAA and USPORTS levels for the 2026-27 season.
Leading the way is Sydney Johnson, a three-time OFSSA medalist and Canadian U18 champion in both discus and shot put. Johnson had multiple offers to consider and will be attending University of Maine (Orono) and representing the Black Bears in the America East Conference at the NCAA div 1 level.
Josh Thomas, a two time OFSAA medalist in high jump and multiple Ontario and Canadian U18 and U20 medalist will be attending the perennial USPORT powerhouse University of Guelph Gryphons for the 2026-27 season.
Pole vaulter Isla Bibby a multiple Ontario and Canadian U18-U20 medalist and recent Nike USA Indoor High School Nationals medalist rounds out the trio as she commits to the University of Guelph Gryphons and will compete in the OUA.
The club now has 6 athletes competing or committed to the NCAA, NJCAA, and USPORT levels since the club restructured 3 years ago.
