The road to the Buckland Cup is being paved for both the Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes.
Playoff series schedules for both teams were released by the OJHL on Monday.
The defending champion Hawks re-ascended the mountain to finish first in the OJHL’s East Conference during the regular season for the third straight year, finishing 45-9-0-2 with 92 points.
They will meet the Lindsay Muskies, a team making it back to the postseason for the first time since 2013.
The Hawks won all four regular season meetings head-to-head.
Meanwhile, the Dukes posted a 27-20-4-5 record with 63 points, finishing sixth in the East under first-year coaches Jacob Panetta and Darcy Murphy.
They will meet the third seed Pickering Panthers, starting with Game 1 Friday in Pickering at 7:30 p.m.
Game 2 will be back at Lehigh Arena Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
The Dukes earned points in three out of four games head-to-head, winning once, tying once and losing once each in regulation and overtime.
