Hawks fly into an ‘eye of the storm’ in OJHL East Semifinals

The Trenton Golden Hawks fly into the ‘eye of the storm’ as they continue their Buckland Cup defence.

The first place Hawks meet the fourth-seeded Newmarket Hurricanes in the OJHL’s East Conference Semifinals, starting Friday at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens.

Trenton took three of four head-to-head meetings with the ‘Canes and finished 19 points ahead of them in the regular season standings.

The Hawks are coming off a four-game sweep of the Lindsay Muskies in Round 1, while Newmarket ousted the Haliburton County Huskies in five games.
