Belleville man arrested under Liquor Licence Control Act

A Belleville man was arrested under the Liquor Licence Control Act following an altercation on Tuesday

On March 17th at 10:18pm, Belleville Police responded to a business on North Front St. regarding a report of a disturbance.

It was reported that a male began a verbal altercation over payment, which escalated into a physical confrontation, before leaving the business.

Police located a male suspect nearby and observed him to be intoxicated.

For his own safety, a 32-year-old Belleville man was arrested under the Liquor Licence and Control Act for being intoxicated in a public place.

His name was not released.
