Arrest made in intimate partner violence case in Belleville

Belleville Police have made an arrest in a case involving intimate partner violence.

On March 24th (Tuesday) at 6:50pm, Belleville Police responded to a call for service at a residence in the city’s west end.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with individuals who reported that a verbal altercation between a male and a female had escalated into a physical confrontation.

As a result of investigation, a 28-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with assault – spousal.

He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in April.

No name was released.
