RAIDERS 4 PANTHERS 0

The Napanee Raiders had a couple of nailbiters against the Port Hope Panthers, but the Tod Division’s best team from a year ago still found a way to grind out a sweep of their Northumberland County rivals, yielding only four goals in the series.

Game 1- Panthers 1 @ Raiders 6

The Raiders flew into the postseason with a dominant Game 1 effort at Best and Bash Arena.

Mason Goodfellow scored a pair for Napanee in the win, Spencer Cranley, Ryan McGee, Ben Kerr and Matt Airhart added singles.

Zered Haller added a couple of assists and Jacob Brown kicked out 18 of 19 Port Hope chances.

Game 2- Raiders 2 @ Panthers 1

Napanee continued its strong defensive play on the road, eking out a tight one-goal victory to take a 2-0 series lead.

McGee’s goal at 10:42 of the middle frame stood as the difference.

Ben Kerr added the other goal for the Raiders in the first.

Brown made 22 saves.

Game 3- Raiders 1 @ Panthers 0 (OT)

It was a goaltender’s duel in Game 3 that went right down to sudden-death before the Raiders pulled off the victory.

Brown posted the 27 save shutout, outduelling Port Hope’s Aidan Cowan, who made 39 saves to almost single-handedly lift the Panthers to victory.

Jackson Barnes fired home the winning goal 8:24 into the extra frame for his first goal of the playoffs, from Luke Jarmin.

Game 4- Panthers 2 @ Raiders 3

Andrew Carr’s shorthanded goal late in the third helped the Raiders slip past the Port Hope Panthers 3-2 in Game 4 for the four-game sweep.

Napanee built a 2-0 lead in the second period on markers from Trent Williams and Ben Kerr before the Panthers stormed back to tie in the third.

After Port Hope evened the game shorthanded, the Raiders got an answer while a man down themselves from Carr, set up by Williams.

Kerr, Kaden Byne, Cole Campbell and Eric Taher picked up the other assists and Brown made 21 saves to complete the sweep.

HUSKIES 4 THUNDER 0

Game 1- Thunder 0 @ Huskies 12

It was no contest for the Frankford Huskies in Game 1 of their opening round series versus Trent Hills.

All but three Frankford skaters registered at least a point, with Avery Wease leading the way with four points, including a hat trick.

Ryan Turney also notched four points, with other multi-point games going to Deke Osterhout, Hunter Gulliver, Riley Grimmon, Mason Boyer, Rheydan McCoy and Keagan Carr.

Liam Boyer registered a 20-save shutout.

Game 2- Huskies 7 @ Thunder 4

Spencer Stanutz notched a three-point night and Wease potted two more goals as the Huskies took away a high-scoring road game.

Osterhout, Cole Blakeley, Jake Sage and Blake Ellis also scored for Frankford and Turney notched three assists.

Brayden Friedrich made 15 saves for the win.

Coulter Trudeau scored twice for Trent Hills, with singles going to Ronnie Watson and Carter Rightmeyer.

Parker Robbins took the loss with 31 saves.

Game 3- Thunder 1 @ Huskies 6

Avery Wease continued his strong series in Game 3, posting a goal and an assist to help send the Thunder to the brink of elimination.

Blakeley and Jack Kuipers also posted the same statline, while Ellis, Keegan Juchau and Ryan Foley added single tallies.

Brody Brooks scored the Thunder’s lone goal.

Boyer stopped 26 of 27 in the win for Frankford, while Robbins was busy making 45 saves for Trent Hills.

Game 4- Huskies 2 @ Thunder 0

Parker Robbins made it known that he didn’t want his 2025-26 hockey season to end on Friday night.

The Trent Hills Thunder netminder nearly single-handedly kept his team alive with a 47-save gem, but the Huskies squeezed out a 2-0 victory to sail on to Round 2.

Grimmon’s goal about a minute into the third stood as the winner, before Turney iced the series win with an empty-netter.

Boyer was less busy, but still earned his second shutout of the series, kicking away all 15 Trent Hills shots.

The Raiders and Huskies will now meet each other in Round 2.

JETS 3 PIRATES 2

Game 1- Jets 2 @ Pirates 1

Picton got a yeoman’s-like goaltending performance from Nolan Lane, but the Pirates offence was left wanting more after Game 1.

Amherstview notched a pair of second period goals and withstood a 15-shot Pirates barrage in the third to hold on.

Gerrit Kempers struck 21 seconds into the third on a powerplay from Keenan Wiles and Luc Amat, but the Pirates could get no closer.

Lane finished with 45 saves.

Game 2- Pirates 4 @ Jets 1

Picton rebounded nicely from that tough Game 1 loss to knot the series on the strength of a 29-save effort from Lane.

Cole Stevenson picked up a goal and an assist on the game, with Liam Rice, Keenan Wiles and Luc Amat adding single tallies.

Ben Smith, Colby Leaver, Gerrit Kempers and Mathieu Petrut registered assists as well in the win.

Game 3- Pirates 1 @ Jets 4

The Jets broke away late to re-take the series lead from the Pirates.

Cole Stevenson earned his second goal of the series from Luc Amat and Gerrit Kempers on a powerplay midway through the third.

Nolan Lane made 34 saves in the defeat.

Game 4

The Pirates appeared to have tied the series score with a 5-4 victory in Game 4 on Thursday night at home, but some controversy interfered.

Following that game, the PJHL released a notice on social media saying the Pirates win would be forfeited due to what was described as an ‘ineligible player.’

The Jets, as a result, were awarded a 5-0 win by forfeit and a 3-1 series lead.

A statement from the Pirates can be found on its Facebook page.

Game 5- Pirates 4 @ Jets 0

Smith scored twice and Lane posted a 21-save shutout as Picton took out its frustration on the overturned result out on the host Jets Sunday night.

The Pirates kept the Amherstview crowd tame with strong defensive play and a pair of goals in the first half of the opening period from Isaiah More and Keenan Wiles.

Nate Woods, Gerrit Kempers, Tyler Braund and Cole Mulder added assists.

The Pirates organization is welcoming fans out to the Prince Edward Community Centre for Game 6 7:30 Tuesday to cheer on the team in hopes of pushing the series to a seventh and deciding game back in Amherstview on Thursday.
