The Belleville Senators will have a reinforcement between the pipes to start a three-game weekend.

With Mads Sogaard and Leevi Merilainen up in Ottawa, the B-Sens have signed NHL veteran James Reimer to a PTO ahead of their game at 7 Friday versus the Toronto Marlies.

The 37-year-old Reimer has played with several teams, over parts of 15 NHL seasons, Reimer has appeared in 525 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, San Jose Sharks, Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks.

He recently represented Canada at the Spengler Cup in Switzerland over the Christmas holidays.

Reimer could possibly start Friday at Coca-Cola Coliseum for the 13-17-5 Sens.
