High school in Bancroft open again on Tuesday

The High School in Bancroft will be open for students again on Tuesday. It was closed on Monday due to a heating issue.
The following notice was posted early Tuesday morning by the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
NOTICE – NHHS will be open today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Students should go to school today.
The heating issue has been restored to operational levels, allowing school to resume on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Ongoing repairs will continue until the issue is completely resolved.
For students in Grade 9 to 12, we will be implementing the Final Culminating Assessment/Exam schedule as noted below:
…Tuesday, January 27: Period 1 Exam, Grade 9 EQAO
…Wednesday, January 28: Period 2 Exam
…Thursday, January 29: Period 3 Exam 8:40 AM, Period 4 Exam 12:20 PM
…Friday, January 30: PA Day no school for students
Please be aware that the workers are aware of the FCA/exam schedule (below) and will be mindful to avoid disruptions.
