Belleville Police have charged a man from Shannonville after a vehicle struck a residence in the city over the weekend.

On January 24th (Saturday) at 2:14am, Belleville Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the city’s east end.

Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle that had struck a residence. Officers spoke with the driver and observed possible signs of impairment. Further investigation revealed the driver had outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants for theft under $5,000.

As a result of investigation, Brayden Lindsay, a 24-year-old Shannonville man, was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrants and charged additionally with:

· Operation while impaired – combined blood alcohol and blood drug concentration

· Failure or refusal to comply with a demand

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in April.
