Before 3 a.m. a collision was reported in the downtown area involving a vehicle and a snowplow.

Witnesses reported to Belleville Police officers on scene that the male driver had exited the vehicle following the collision and fled the scene on foot.

Officers eventually caught up to the man and arrested him.

He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in March.
