Two people from Belleville face charges after a disturbance on Halloween night.

A report was made to city police about a fight taking place at a west end apartment between residents of the units on Friday.

Both a man and a woman were involved and both were bound by communication orders, while it was learned the man had an outstanding arrest warrant by Belleville Police.

Officers found the woman and her children in a common area when they arrived at the apartment and learned that the man was still inside the residence

As the children returned to the unit, officers entered and observed the male exiting through a window. Officers located and arrested the male.

A 45-year-old woman and 51-year-old man were both arrested and charged.

The man was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order. His arrest warrant was subsequently executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

The woman faces a charge of failing to comply with an Undertaking. She was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in December.

No names were released.
