Charges laid in intimate partner violence incident in Picton

The Prince Edward County OPP has charged one person after responding to an intimate partner violence incident.

On Monday, November 24, shortly before 5:30 p.m., Prince Edward County OPP responded to reports of an argument that had escalated inside a residence located in Picton.

As a result of the investigation, one person was charged with uttering threats, three counts of assault causing bodily harm by choking, suffocating or strangling and four counts of spousal assault.

The accused, who was not identified, was held pending a bail hearing.
