Quinte West McDonald’s Hospital Day raises $8,711 for Trenton Memorial Hospital

The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF) is happy to share that McDonald’s Hospital Day, held on Thursday, October 2nd, raised $8,711 in support of Trenton Memorial Hospital.

The total was raised through McDonald’s donations of $1 from every Big Mac and McChicken sold, $0.50 from each medium to extra-large coffee, plus community donations collected at the three Quinte West locations.

“We’re thrilled to partner with TMHF again for McDonald’s Hospital Day this year. Supporting local healthcare and crucial equipment purchases means improved care for everyone in our community when they need it most. We’re grateful to all the volunteers and everyone in our generous community who came out to support this day,” said Crystal Sun, Owner of McDonald’s Quinte West.

“We are grateful to Crystal, Sammy, the Quinte West McDonald’s teams, our volunteers, and every customer who supported. Your generosity will help us fund new Holter monitors so patients can get timely heart care close to home,” said Lindsay Butcher Dodds, Executive Director, Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. “This event shows what our community can do together.”

Funds will go toward the purchase of Holter monitors, which cost about $3,057 each and are used to monitor and diagnose heart conditions.

TMHF extends heartfelt thanks to Crystal Sun, Sammy Jones, McDonald’s staff, the dedicated volunteers, and the entire community for making this year’s event such a success. Their support helps ensure patients in our community continue to receive quality care close to home.
