First weekend of October to feel like August in Quinte

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 1, 2025 | 2:46 PM

The first weekend of October will feel a lot like mid-August in the Quinte Region.

The early forecast from Environment Canada is calling for mostly sunny skies from Friday right through to Sunday.

It will be very warm for this time of year with projected highs of 24 over the course of three days.

That is almost 10 degrees warmer than the average daytime high for this time of year in Quinte of 16.

Meanwhile, drought-like conditions continued in the local region last month, with CFB Trenton readings indicating only 18.4 millimetres of rainfall.

The average amount of precipitation for September is about 90 millimetres.
