By Hailey MacDonald Sep 8, 2025 | 9:15 AM

Prince Edward County residents are being made aware of some minor traffic disruptions as part of County Rd. 49 construction this week.

The work is part of the Rogers Communications Broadband Expansion project and will be completed in the area of Bethesda Road between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday over the next two weeks.

County officials are informing the public that single lane closures may take place during the work.

Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution near construction work zones and obey all posted signage.

Members of the Prince Edward County OPP may be present in some work areas as well.

For more information, contact the County at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or email info@pecounty.on.ca.
