for the Girls’ and victims of impaired driving is coming to Quinte West on Saturday, Oct 4.

The event is in honour of Anastasia Collins and Rebecca Beatty, two young ladies whose lives were tragically taken in an incident of impaired driving on Sunday, Oct 3, 2021.

It was stated in the social media post that on Sunday, Oct 3, 2021, Anastasia and Rebecca purchased Blizzards at the Dairy Queen in Trenton on their way home from a morning of planning Anastasia’s upcoming wedding.

To commemorate this tragedy, the families of the two young women are hosting ‘Blizzard for the Girls’ 1km/5km walk or run, honouring the girls with the blizzards they never got the chance to eat.

The event will take place in Centennial Park, located on Couch Crescent in Trenton, beginning at 10am.

Adult tickets are $27 and child tickets are $20. All children must be accompanied/supervised by an adult.

Tickets include a t-shirt, race bib, and a DQ voucher for a medium blizzard.

All net proceeds of this event will go to MADD Quinte and Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward.

Attendees are invited to bring their dogs along for the walk in honour of the girls’ dogs, Harley and Archie.
