Belleville Yardsale: New comedy series coming to Bell Fibe TV1

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a small Canadian city tried to throw the world’s biggest yard sale, Belleville Yardsale is your answer—and it’s as delightfully chaotic as it sounds.

Created, written, and directed by local comedian Kyle For Mayor (Kyle Woolven), this quirky comedy series follows Kyle’s real campaign to convince the entire city of Belleville to unite for a record-breaking yard sale. The show blends satire, community spirit, and absurdity in a way that feels both grassroots and refreshingly original.

Premiering on Bell Fibe, October 9th, the series follows Kyle over the course of a year as he goes from having a somewhat ridiculous concept to actually trying to achieve a Guinness World Record. And though Kyle’s true motives often come into question, one thing is for certain – this is much more than just a yard sale.

“I was trying to accomplish many things at once,” says Woolven, whose awkward charm mixed with his relentless ambition is the driving force behind the series. “I was filming a show while planning a massive event without really knowing how either would come together in the end. My goal was to unite people, put Belleville on the map, and use this yard sale to become the world’s biggest celebrity.”

Belleville Yardsale is not just a comedy either. The series puts the spotlight on local businesses and personalities. Each episode features everyday Bellevillians and turns them into part of the narrative, combining a real-time documentary with comedic storytelling. For example, the first episode sees Kyle For Mayor pitching his yard sale idea to local businesses in a way that only he would feel comfortable doing. For Woolven, showcasing his hometown was equally as important as getting laughs:

“You don’t need millions or, in my case any money at all, to make a lasting impact. Belleville is not a big city, it doesn’t have a ton of resources at its disposal, but it does have interesting places worth exploring and determined people worth listening to. You can do big things in little places if you’re willing to get creative.”

So… does Belleville set the Guinness Record for the “World’s Biggest Yard Sale?” You’ll just have to tune in to find out the answer.

Whether you’re from Belleville or just love a good underdog story, this series is worth the watch.
