Annual hydrant flushing program in Brighton Oct 6-10

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 30, 2025 | 3:52 PM

The Municipality of Brighton is providing a notice to residents about the 2025 hydrant flushing.

The Water Department will be conducting its annual hydrant flushing program from Oct 5 to Oct 10 between 6pm and 6am each night.

Flushing will start at the north end of town and proceed in a southerly direction. Hydrant flushing not completed during this time period will be conducted during regular working hours over the next couple of weeks.

Residents may notice temporary changes in water pressure or slight discolouration. During this time, it is recommended doing laundry and using hot water after flushing hours.

If you require further information, please contact the Water Department at 613.475.1162 ext. 108. The municipality appreciates the patience and understanding as they work to maintain the water system.
