Taeo Artichuk made Trenton Golden Hawks history on Saturday night in his team’s 7-2 romp of the Aurora Tigers.
The 20-year-old forward picked up four points (goal, three assists), with his second of the night and 95th overall passing former Hawks standout Adam O’Marra for the most single-season points in franchise history after he had passed Blainville, Quebec native David Fournier for most all-time points in a Hawks uniform earlier in the season.
A first period hat trick from Jack Ziliotto sparked the Hawks to an early 3-1 lead, keying the Burlington native to a five-point night overall.
Daylen Moses kept Trenton’s momentum going with his second marker in as many games less than 90 seconds into the middle period to make it 4-1, but a Paul Mazanik response gave the Tigers some hope, cutting into the deficit.
The home side wouldn’t come any closer though, as Beckett Ewart re-extended the Trenton lead to 5-2 at the 15:56 mark and the Hawks never slowed down from there.
Joey Brehmer’s 22nd of the year on a powerplay and Taeo Artichuk’s 34th in the third pushed the Hawks to victory.
Colton Drillen-Roach made 26 stops in Trenton’s 35th win of the 2025-26 campaign and sixth in a row as the team expanded its lead to five points atop the East Conference.
The Hawks outshot Aurora 57-28.
The Hawks continue their road swing with a stop in Georgetown Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
