One person reportedly had to be treated by paramedics following an evacuation from a manufacturing plant in Quinte West early Thursday morning.

Employees were forced to evacuate before 4 a.m. after haze was reported at the Domtech Plant in Trenton.

Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan said two chemicals were mixed together and reacted, causing the haze.

Quinte West firefighters and Ministry of Environment representatives were on scene to investigate.

Domtech Inc. manufactures high quality electrical and electronic wire and cable products.
