Federal offender being sought by provincial ROPE Squad

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of a breach of their Statutory Release.

Latef Tag El Din is described as an Arab male, 30 years old, 5’10″(178 cm), 169 lbs (77 kg), with black hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos;

  • Right Forearm- A Skull
  • Left & Right arms full sleeves
  • Right Hand- ‘Money’
  • Left Hand- ‘Building’
  • On his neck- A symbol

Tag El Din is serving a 2-year, 11 (eleven) month and 10 (ten) day sentence for;

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing it was Unauthorized.
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition.
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowning Altered or Defaced.
  • Possession of a Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition Order.
  • Failing to Comply with an Order at Large x4

The offender is known to frequent Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Halifax and Kentville, Nova Scotia, as well as Vaughan and Ottawa in Ontario.
