Bell Let’s Talk Day encourages people to continue mental health conversations

By Brock Ormond Jan 21, 2026 | 1:26 PM
Wednesday is a day to continue the important conversation around mental health.
Bell Let’s Talk Day is an annual reminder to take a moment to check in with ourselves and each other, thereby slowing ending the stigma of mental health.
If you or someone you know needs help, you don’t have to face it alone.
Residents of Quinte can start by speaking with a trusted health professional if they don’t where to turn to.
The following resources are available for people to reach out to;
211 Ontario: Find local resources and support: https://211ontario.ca/
Canadian Mental Health Association: Find mental health support: https://cmha.ca/find-info/mental-health/
Suicide Crisis Helpline: Call or text 988
Kids Help Phone: Call 1-800-668-6868 or text 686868
City of Belleville officials and representatives from the Belleville Police Service are just two of the many organizations promoting this important cause Wednesday.
