Another heavy dose of winter weather is expected to create a number of challenges across the Quinte Region on Wednesday.
Environment Canada’s Snowfall Warning calls for 15 to 20 cm of snow in most areas, with poor visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.
Prince Edward County is also under a Snow Squall Warning for Wednesday, with gusting winds and lake effect snow hitting the area even harder than other parts of Quinte.
Environment Canada says travel will likely be challenging and roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to the accumulating snow.
Drivers are being asked again to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions and allow extra time for travel.
The Snowfall Warning is in effect for most of the Quinte Region, though North Hastings (Bancroft) is expected to get less snow (2 to 4 cm) and no advisory has been issued there.
