A Belleville man has been charged following a series of incidents in the city on Friday.

On January 9th at 4:36pm, Belleville Police responded to a disturbance at a business in the city’s east end. It was reported that an unknown male was yelling at staff and throwing items at the door.

Officers identified the male and learned there had been 6 calls for service on January 9th which may have involved the same person causing disturbances at various businesses. Police advised the male that he was not to return to the location, however, he ran back toward the business and into traffic.

As a result of investigation, John Crawford, a 30-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

· Loitering in a public place

· Failure to comply with a probation order
