Belleville Council will approve the updated plan to revise the city’s incentives for building and development at their regular meeting on Monday afternoon.
The revised Housing, Downtown Revitalization, and Brownfield Redevelopment Community Improvement Plan (CIP) will be presented for approval.
It streamlines the original plan from 2020, by making some changes and reducing the number of categories from 17 to 15.
This report provides an overview of the updated Community Improvement Plan (CIP), focused on housing, downtown revitalization, and brownfield redevelopment in Belleville. The update
supports the City’s Housing Action Plan and the $10.5 million federal Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) agreement, which aims to increase housing supply and promote diverse,
affordable, and climate-resilient communities.
