Cobourg Police looking for witnesses in ongoing B and E investigation

By Kay Joly Aug 21, 2025 | 4:00 PM

The Cobourg Police Service are currently investigating a break and enter in the area of Walton Street and University Avenue East.

Officers were on scene (as of 3:30 pm on Thursday) and were canvassing the area for witnesses.

On August 21, 2025 (Thursday), a female suspect approached the front door of a home on Walton Street and distracted the homeowner.

While she engaged the resident, a second suspect entered the home through a side door and stole valuables.

The two suspects were observed fleeing the area in a dark sport utility vehicle (SUV).

Cobourg Police remind residents to keep doors locked and be vigilant with strangers who are going door to door.
