A head-on collision just outside the city of Kingston has left one person deceased.
The collision happened on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Taylor-Kidd Boulevard near Coronation Boulevard.
Officers with the Frontenac and Lennox and Addington Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Loyalist Township Firefighters and Frontenac Paramedics responded to the scene.
A passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene. The two drivers were transported to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other as a precaution. No personal information about the deceased or the others can be released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from members of the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, including a Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator, and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
Taylor Kidd Blvd has reopened from Collins Bay Rd to County Rd 6 in Kingston. The OPP thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the investigation and clean-up efforts.
