Stunt and impaired driving charges laid in Napanee

Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person with several criminal and provincial charges following a traffic stop on the weekend in Napanee.

On Saturday January 3, 2026, just before 10:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were performing speed radar enforcement on Highway 401 in the Town of Greater Napanee. Officers stopped a vehicle travelling eastbound at 44km/h over the posted speed limit. Following an investigation the driver was arrested.

Shane WINSLOW, a 31-year-old from Loyalist Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
  • Stunt driving
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 27, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
