Flow Without Fear returns with annual Valentine’s Day Period Product Drive

By Brock Ormond Jan 3, 2026 | 9:23 AM
Flow Without Fear is once again doing its annual Valentine’s Day Period Product Drive, aimed at supporting individuals in the Bay of Quinte who lack access to essential menstrual products.
Flow Without Fear is a period poverty initiative dedicated to eradicating period poverty in Canada. 1 in 6 Canadians have reported experiencing period poverty and with increasing inflation, these statistics are expected to rise even higher.
Founded by local woman and beauty pageant competitor Hailey MacDonald, Flow Without Fear has donated over $1,200 worth of products to those in need since its inception in the Summer of 2024, all thanks to the generosity of the community. MacDonald is also the author of PERIOD., a menstruation manual for young ladies getting their cycles for the first time, with all proceeds of the book going towards product donation.
The campaign follows the success of last year’s inaugural Valentine’s Day Drive and marks the beginning of what MacDonald hopes will become an annual tradition.
MacDonald says the initiative is rooted in the belief that access to safe, clean, and reliable period products is a basic human right. All donated items will be distributed to those in need throughout the Bay of Quinte the week following Valentine’s Day.
Running now through February 14th, the initiative is accepting donations of period products, as well as monetary contributions, which will be used to purchase supplies locally. Donations can be made through in-person pick-ups and drop-offs, e-transfer, or through via the organization’s Amazon Wishlist.
E-transfers or inquiries about product pick-ups can be sent to haileymacdonald4455@gmail.com.
Product donations can be delivered to Starboard Communications, 497 Dundas St W, Belleville – Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Flow Without Fear is also collaborating with halfkanga for the drive. Donate to Flow Without Fear’s period product drive, receive a free dozen cookies from halfkanga.
