Two charges laid among dozen collisions over Christmas period in Belleville

The Christmas period featured a number of motor vehicle collisions in Belleville, with a couple charges laid.

Between 5:00 am on December 25 and 5:00 am on Monday, Belleville Police responded to 12 motor vehicle collisions.

No serious injuries were reported.

Two charges under the Highway Traffic Act were laid, including not turning safely and careless driving.

Belleville Police remind motorists to drive with extreme caution, adjust speed for conditions, and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather events whenever possible.
