Officers from the Northumberland OPP have recovered a stolen vehicle and charged two persons following a traffic stop on Highway 401.
Thursday morning before 10 a.m, an officer was on patrol on the 401 in Cramahe Township when the in-cruiser Automated Licence Plate Recognition system alerted them to a stolen vehicle travelling westbound.
The vehicle was believed to be stolen within the past few days from a location in Quebec.
A number of cruisers were involved in stopping the pick-up truck and two individuals were taken into custody.
Christopher Urizar-Santos, 20 and Sergio Urizar-Santos, 24, both of Blainville, Quebec, were charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Both accused were held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
