By Hailey MacDonald Dec 9, 2025 | 12:53 PM

On December 7, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division were conducting proactive patrol when they observed a vehicle, with one inoperable headlight, travelling in the area of Patrick Street and Stephen Street.

Upon stopping the vehicle, the officers observed the individual seated in the passenger seat was not wearing a seatbelt. Upon identifying the individual, the officers discovered the individual was bound by conditions from a previous release order which stated they were to remain in their residence at all times.

The passenger was arrested without incident and upon being searched officers discovered the passenger to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, packaging materials, multiple cell phones and a digital scale. The passenger also had a replica firearm equipped with a magazine and capable of firing projectiles.

The 18-year-old accused individual of Kingston was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of fail to comply with YCJA sentence and two counts of fail to comply with release order.

The accused was transported to Kingston Police headquarters where they were held for a bail hearing.
