Players on local junior hockey teams are being showcased at big events.
In Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Trenton Golden Hawks defenceman Josh Brady and Team Canada East went to 2-0 at the Junior A World Challenge after a 4-3 shootout win over Team Canada West on Monday.
That follows a 4-1 win on Sunday afternoon over Team USA.
Also, several GHawks and Wellington Dukes had great showings at the U20 USports Showcase in Oshawa Monday.
Trenton’s Jack Ziliotto led Team Red to a 4-2 win over Team Black with a goal and an assist, while Wellington’s Sacha Trudel added a helper.
Andrew Wycisk of Trenton also suited up for Team Red, while Duncan Schneider and Taeo Artichuk of the Hawks and Kyle Grasby of the Dukes played for Team Black.
