Madoc’s Ben Danford is one of 27 players Hockey Canada has invited to its world junior training camp ahead of the 2026 World Junior Hockey Championship in Minnesota.

The Quinte Red Devils graduate, who currently plays for the OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs. aims to represent Canada at the tournament, which lost in the quarterfinal last year in Ottawa.

Danford has 15 points in 22 games combined between the Bulldogs and Oshawa Generals.

Canada will hold its camp in Niagara Falls, Ont. before it opens the world junior hockey championship on December 26 against Czechia in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
