Traffic disruptions on Wellington Main St Aug 13

By Hailey MacDonald Aug 13, 2025 | 2:12 PM

There will be traffic disruptions on Wellington Main St today until 5pm for water service repairs.

Wellington Main St will be reduced to one lane between Consecon St and Cleminson St during the work.

Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and take alternative routes if possible.

These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, customers near the construction area may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations, and coloured water while construction is taking place.

The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction. If coloured water is experienced, residents are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
