Stirling-Rawdon Township has brought in a new municipal clerk.
Becky O’Hara comes to the township with extensive experience in the role, having served as Deputy Clerk for Prince Edward County and previously as Deputy Clerk/Legislative Coordinator for the City of Quinte West.
Officials say she brings extensive knowledge and expertise in key legislative areas such as the Municipal Act, Planning Act and Community Safety & Policing Act, among others, strong supervisory experience, a proven ability to lead Clerk’s Office operations, and solid project management skills.
Over the coming weeks, O’Hara will work closely with municipal staff to support a smooth transition into her new role and township officials say she will be a valuable addition to the team and the community.
O’Hara will be replacing Kathy Pearl, who is departing the clerk position and the organization on Dec. 18.
The Township stated Pearl’s ‘years of dedication, professionalism, and tireless commitment’ have significantly benefited Council, staff, and residents and that she will be greatly missed.
