A fresh new chapter is coming to Trenton as the former BeaverTails location transforms into Curley’s, a locally owned ice cream and french fry shoppe dedicated to celebrating Quinte-area flavours, supporting local businesses, and offering quality food at great value.
Curley’s is proudly part of Homestead Marketplace, a family-owned and operated group of companies led by Mike and Nickey Eden. Homestead has long been rooted in community values—supporting local families, fostering meaningful partnerships, and contributing to the growth and well-being of the region.
The transition to Curley’s aligns directly with those values: choosing local suppliers, uplifting nearby producers, and creating a destination that reflects the spirit of the community it serves.
One of Curley’s most significant partnerships is with Reid’s Dairy of Belleville—an iconic, family-oriented business that has been a staple in the Quinte community for decades. Their longstanding reputation for quality and value makes them a perfect fit for Curley’s menu and mission.
Curley’s will also feature locally made favourites, including Rachel’s Tarts from Trenton and Maple Dale Cheese from Plainfield, among other regional producers. By shifting away from a national franchise model, Curley’s is intentionally building a business that keeps more dollars in the community while showcasing the incredible products made right here in Quinte.

Guests can look forward to locally sourced hard and soft ice cream, an array of french fries and onion rings, comfort classics, and unique specialty items inspired by local tastes and traditions.
BeaverTails Trenton will close for construction on December 28, 2025 with Curley’s Fries and Ice Cream scheduled to reopen in February, welcoming the community to experience a new local favourite built on partnership, value, and hometown pride.
