The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce proudly marked a historic milestone as members, community partners, past presidents, and current directors gathered to celebrate the Chamber’s 75th Anniversary.

An event brought together decades of leadership and collaboration, with guests sharing in the Chamber’s remarkable journey, from its roots as the Trenton Board of Trade to becoming one of the region’s most trusted advocates for local business. Today, it represents businesses of all sizes and remains part of the largest business network in Canada.

President Bev Woods addressed the full room, recognizing past and present directors, and reflected on major achievements, from early industrial growth and tourism development to modern entrepreneurship programs and digital transformation.

The evening also honoured Jennifer Snider, Membership Services Coordinator, who is retiring after 20 years of exceptional service.

CEO Suzanne Andrews praised Snider’s unwavering dedication and impact on the Chamber and the broader business community.

Jennifer has been the heart of our Chamber. Her compassion, commitment, and professionalism have strengthened our organization in immeasurable ways,” said Andrews.

Over its 75-year history, the Chamber has played a vital role in shaping Quinte West’s economic landscape.

Some significant milestones that highlight its impact are as follows;

  • 1950 – Chamber incorporated to support local businesses
  • 1960s – Advocacy for industrial growth and infrastructure
  • 1980s – Expansion of tourism and hospitality initiatives
