Campbellford driver charged with impaired

A Campbellford resident faces impaired charges following a traffic stop.

After 10 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver near Bridge Street West and Grand Road in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

Police located and stopped a vehicle matching the description provided. After speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. The individual was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

Lindsay Austrung-Wilson, 42, has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus mg.

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in January 2026.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and 7-day vehicle impoundment were also imposed.
