The Northumberland OPP has charged two individuals from Stirling-Rawdon following a fraud investigation.

Last month, on October 15, police received a report that a person engaged to provide home support in the Municipality of Trent Hills, had used financial information to make unauthorized purchases.

After a six-week investigation, officers arrested two individuals on Tuesday.

Alecia Bendfield, 33, and James Sanderson, 35, are both charged with fraudulent use of credit card data and fraud under $5,000.

Sanderson was given an additional charge of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Both accused are due to appear in Cobourg Court in January 2026.
