Belleville Police have charged a woman with assault following an incident involving a weapon back on Monday.

On November 10th at 3:59pm, Belleville Police responded to an apartment complex in the city’s north end regarding a report of an assault.

Upon arrival, officers were told that a verbal disagreement resulted in a female swinging her arm at a resident while holding a weapon.

Officers also learned that the female was on conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

As a result, Amanda Lake, 46-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

· Assault with a weapon

· Failure to comply with a probation order X2

She was held for a bail hearing.
