Impaired driving charges laid following two crashes in Lennox and Addington

Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with impaired driving related charges following a pair of crashes over the past two days.

On Sunday August 17, 2025, just before 7:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were advised of a single vehicle collision on County Road 9 in Greater Napanee. A suspect vehicle was located with the driver inside, and the driver was arrested.

Kevin TEEPLE, a 55-year-old from Napanee, was charged with:

Operation while impaired – drug
Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration
Dangerous operation
Possession of methamphetamine

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on September 9, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.

On Monday August 18, 2025, just before 6:00 p.m., L&A County OPP was called by a member of the public regarding a single vehicle collision on Maple Road in Loyalist Township. Police attended the collision scene and one person was arrested.

Stanley TRUSCOTT, a 61-year-old from Napanee, was charged with:

Operation while impaired – alcohol
Operation while impaired – over 80mgs of alcohol
Dangerous operation
Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
Have care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on September 16, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
