Fentanyl seized in Deseronto

By Hailey MacDonald Aug 22, 2025 | 11:23 AM

A search warrant in Deseronto has resulted in a drug seizure and an arrest for trafficking.

The investigation began earlier this year after community concerns about drug trafficking in the area.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, members of the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Fourth Street. One person was arrested without incident.

Investigators seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Christopher ROBERTS, age 37 of Deseronto, has been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on September 30, 2025.
