Five third period goals helped the Trenton Golden Hawks break away from the Wellington Dukes 8-4 on Sunday evening.
John Collins-Williams had a pair of goals and an assist for Trenton and Reed Pettipas added three helpers.
Cameron Mack posted a goal and an assist in the loss for Wellington.
Trenton swept the two-game preseason set with their Quinte-arch rivals thanks to the victory.
The Hawks now get set for a road clash with the CCHL’s Smiths Falls Bears on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
The Dukes will face Trenton in the regular season opener Sunday, Sept. 7 at 2:30 p.m.
