Traffic disruptions on County Rd 3 and County Rd 1 Aug 26-28

Contractors retained by the County of Prince Edward will be drilling boreholes on sections of County Road 3 and County Road 1 from Tuesday, August 26 to Thursday, August 28.

The work will begin on County Rd 3 and finish on County Rd 1. Work on County Road 3 will take place between civic address 1460 and civic address 1668. County Road 1 work will take place between the roundabout (Warings Corner) and Mallory Rd.

Work will take place between the hours of 7am to 7pm.

There will be no road closures during this time. Lane restrictions and traffic control will be in place.

Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes if possible.

Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.

The boreholes will help the municipality gain valuable information about the subsurface conditions on these roads. This information will then inform the design of the project.
